If you are planning a trip to Turkey, is likely to be encouraged to visit Cappadocia, to see the unique landscape that presents this country with its panoramic views of colored rock formations and caves. But as you begin your trip, you'll quickly understand that Cappadocia is a region that will need to choose a specific city to remain, among which are: Goreme, Uchisar and Urgup. As I said at the beginning of the post, Goreme Why now?, And we present some of the reasons.

1. You do not need a car
The best reason to stay in Goreme is that you do not need a car if you stay here. This is especially important if you are arriving by plane, as is the main airport in Kayseri, which is more than an hour away. A data transport in a van to the <a href="http://www.goldenquestions.com/travel/?s=hotel"title="More about Hotel" >hotel is 10 euros per person average.

The other advantage to come to Goreme is the whole place is compact, so the time to reach the hotel in Goreme, is easily accessible throughout the city, I mean access to <a href="http://www.goldenquestions.com/travel/?s=restaurants"title="More about Restaurants" >restaurants, bars and shops without any problems.

2. The town of Goreme in Cappadocia, is not a big city, so all its attractions and points of interest are relatively close. Goreme is a resort, many people spend their lives there and the place to go not only to see the rock formations, and instead has much to offer.

3. Goreme has a wide range of accommodation from backpacker to the luxury accommodations. If possible, choose one of the "cave hotels" if they are hotels cave!

Yes, you can stay at a hotel where the rooms are carved into the rock, like the traditional cottages of the area. You can choose the specialty of hotel … Sultan Cave Suites, hahaha sounds like a laugh but it is. Staying in a cave can be an invitation for claustrophobia, as the room goes into the rock and there are not many windows. (Despite having a small skylight).

Cappadocia is subjected to extreme temperatures, but the rock does an excellent job as insulation. That's the good part of that room, though that if you have no air conditioning (and this offends travelers who love the air conditioning). Nobody wants to have to live permanently in the cave, but spending a couple of nights in the cave is a great experience!.

4. The Open Air <a href="http://www.goldenquestions.com/travel/?s=museum"title="More about Museums" >Museum in Goreme
If you stay in Goreme, you can walk 2 miles to the outdoor museum. (No matter where you stay in Cappadocia, you do not want to miss this attraction of UNESCO.) The Open Air Museum, is actually an ancient Christian religious complex with convents, churches, homes, dining rooms, kitchens and more, which was built or in this case, carving, that's between the ages 10 and 13 and has long since been abandoned. The climax is the painted churches, which relate to medieval times, which is well preserved with frescoes decorating the inside of some of the churches.

5. Visit the Valley of Love
When you're surrounded by so much natural beauty, just want to get there and walk around it. Most tours require some form of transportation, but you can make a short walk to the Valley of Love, which is way to the Open Air Museum. (Take the road from the main road from the Tourist Hotel Cappadocia). It is an ideal location to see the "fairy chimneys", which are rock formations that seem elongated chimneys or mushrooms or something completely different (if you have a dirty mind) kidding aside. You can get a good view of the whole area.

Bon voyage!
