The average Spanish hotel rates continued to decline in December, and despite the bridge of the Immaculate and the holidays this year: the average price has been set at around 81 euros, as it emerged the last Hotel Price Index of Trivago (tHPI), the buyer of hotel rates from this portal.
This number translates into three euros below the last figure, that of November, when it came to 84 euros. But even more, falls well below that recorded in August (just four months ago), which was 102 euros.
Also, this latest report has collected Trivago other continental European countries such as Denmark timely almost double the average rate Spanish, since it is located at 157 euros.
But Spain also has the lowest price, other countries such as Poland and Hungary are still cheaper, with an average hotel price of 65 and 67 euros respectively. The Czech Republic, meanwhile, is also yet another country with hotels cheaper: the average is 70 euros per night.
Portugal is another country that has dropped his average rate and, indeed, has reversed its position with regard to Spain in December, is 72 euros, but only about three months ago, in September, Portugal reached the 102 euros and placed ahead of Spain, who was 95 euros on average.
On the other hand, if you look at the picture of hotel prices in the country, and are discriminated by cities, one can see that Santiago is the Spanish city with cheaper fares for all, since their average is 63 euros. Behind her lie Murcia and Zaragoza, both with 65 euros, and Granada, with 66 euros.
At the other extreme, the most expensive in Spain are: Palma de Mallorca, with an average of 102 euros per night, Barcelona, with 96 euros, and San Sebastian, with an average price of 95 euros hotel.
With regard to Europe in general, Copenhagen (Denmark) is the most expensive city of all that relates to accommodation, since their average is 176 euros. It is followed Oslo (Norway), with 165 euros.
The cheapest, on the other side of the pendulum, are Krakow (Poland), with an average of 61 euros per night, and Budapest (Hungary), 63 euros.
Finally, if we analyze the interannual behavior is that, precisely, the Danish capital has been one of the few places where prices have risen compared with December 2008: in u n 8 percent.
Paris, meanwhile, remained in 135 euros on average. And, Madrid and Barcelona have fallen by 11 percent from the 106 and 108 respectively.
